Lake Eyasi, a soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, provides cultural richness as the home of the Hadza and Datoga tribes. The Serengeti National Park, renowned for the annual wildebeest migration, showcases the “Big Five” and diverse wildlife across its expansive plains. Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO site often dubbed the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” features the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, offering a unique habitat for a variety of wildlife. Together, these destinations epitomize the breathtaking biodiversity and natural beauty of Tanzania’s landscapes.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Drive to Tarangire National Park

The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 1230hrs. 1330hrs, drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy an evening game drive in Tarangire National Park.

Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives in the Tarangire National Park. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree climbing lions.

Day 3 Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara. Lunch at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Afternoon game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 4 Drive to Lake Eyasi

Collect picnic lunches and drive to Lake Eyasi, which is a mildly alkaline lake about 50km in length.

The meadows along the shores of the lake are home to leopards, hippos, various monkeys and birds.

Lake Eyasi offers excellent views of the Rift Valley escarpment and is an ideal destination for relaxing and bird-watching.

Day 5 Lake Eyasi

Depart for some Cultural visits in the area. Among other places, you will visit the Datoga pastoralists and members of the Hadzabe tribe. The Hadzabe are one of two remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania. There are approximately 1500 families left in this tribe. Lunch will be served at the camp. Late in the afternoon, drive to Karatu.

Day 6 Depart to Serengeti National Park

Depart to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

Day 7 and 8 Full days of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park

Spend two full days of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. Meals and overnight under tents.

Day 9 Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Proceed driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at Ngorongoro Standard Camp. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 10 Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Standard Camp or similar

Day 11 Return to Arusha

After breakfast return to Arusha. Lunch at Forest Hill Carnival Hotel.
