The Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, spanning 260 square kilometers. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it hosts diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, and rhinoceros. Lake Magadi in the center attracts flamingos. Established in 1959, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area encompasses the crater and supports both wildlife conservation and the traditional lifestyle of the Maasai people. Popular for safari experiences, the crater’s varied ecosystems and abundant wildlife make it a unique destination for nature enthusiasts.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 1230hrs. 1400hrs, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 02 Half day Crater Tour.

Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Lunch at the lodge. After lunch, drive back to Arusha. Drop off in Arusha town at round 1700hrs.
